Introduction to Super8

Introductory 2 hour course with Julien Dorgere, founder of Super8 Ireland.

This workshop will cover the following elements, with a mixture of theory and practice:

- History of Super8
- Equipment basics (cameras, projectors, splicers)
- What can be done with 8mm cameras and how to achieve the best results.
- Learning how to project film
- Learning how to edit & splice on a variety of splicers (tape, glue, guillotine)
- The various methods to digitize Super8 film

Students will also shoot some actual Super8 film, which will be processed as part of a masterclass with Alan Crowley (Processing Super8 Film at home)
